Tree Service Pricing in Huntsville
Every estimate we give is free, on-site for real jobs, and in writing. This page exists so you can sanity-check any quote you get — ours or anyone's — against what tree work actually costs in Madison County in 2026.
What Drives the Price
- Size and species. A 90-foot loblolly is a different job than a 30-foot dogwood — pines fail high and get rigged down in pieces, hardwoods are heavier per foot.
- Access. Open ground means felling; tight lots (most of Huntsville proper) mean rigging. Rigging is more hours and more skill, and it shows up honestly in the quote.
- What's underneath. A tree over lawn is cheap. A tree over a roof, pool, fence line, or power drop is rigged, tarped, and slowed down.
- Condition. Storm damage, decay, hangers, and split trunks add risk — and sometimes insurance paperwork, which we handle as part of the job.

The Free-Estimate Promise, Specifically
Here's exactly how quoting works with us: call or use the form and describe the tree — you'll get an honest phone ballpark range right then, so you know whether you're looking at hundreds or thousands. For anything beyond a small trim, we walk the property, check lean and root plate and targets, and write a firm quote on the spot. That number doesn't change after the job unless the scope changes — and if we find something mid-job that changes scope (hidden decay is the classic), we stop and call you before proceeding. No surprise line items, ever.
If our honest quote is higher than a competitor's, ask both quotes these questions: is cleanup included, is the stump included, what rigging method, and is the crew insured with workers' comp. The answers usually explain the difference — and occasionally they explain why the cheap one should scare you.
Ways to Save
- Bundle. Stump grinding and haul-away added to a removal cost a fraction of what they do standalone.
- Book off-season. December–February is our quiet window; scheduling flexibility then sometimes earns a discount on bigger jobs.
- Batch with neighbors. Two or three adjacent lots on the same day splits mobilization for everyone.
- Keep the wood. Skipping haul-away (you keep rounds for firewood) knocks real money off bigger removals.
